Discover Bhubaneswar: The City of Temples

Nestled in the heart of Odisha, Bhubaneswar is a vibrant blend of ancient heritage and modern development. Known as the "City of Temples," it is home to over 700 temples that showcase Odisha’s rich cultural tapestry and architectural brilliance. Bhubaneswar, along with Puri and Konark, forms the iconic Golden Triangle of Eastern India, attracting pilgrims and tourists alike.

The city’s history dates back over 3,000 years, with its roots embedded in the Kalinga empire. Landmarks like the Lingaraj Temple, Mukteshwar Temple, and Rajarani Temple reflect the grandeur of ancient Indian art and spirituality. Bhubaneswar is also a gateway to the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site of Konark Sun Temple and the serene beaches of Puri.

Beyond its cultural significance, Bhubaneswar is a rapidly evolving urban hub. It was one of the first cities selected under India’s Smart City initiative, balancing its rich traditions with modern infrastructure, green spaces, and digital advancements. The Kalinga Stadium, a world-class sports complex, has hosted several national and international events, solidifying Bhubaneswar’s reputation as a sports capital.
